The Kansas Health Foundation’s philanthropic resources are finite, yet both the need and the potential have no limits. We feel an obligation to use our resources wisely and responsibly to make sustainable health improvements possible for the greatest number of Kansans 10, 20 – even 50 years from now.

That mandate led us to create the Kansas Leadership Center, a Wichita-based organization dedicated to nurturing and building leaders throughout the state. The Center is committed to providing the resources and instruction necessary to unlock the often overlooked leadership potential within each of us. It serves to release the enormous potential inherent in each of us, but that is all too often overlooked and undeveloped.

As a foundation, we’ve learned the importance of leadership in helping Kansans mobilize and transform their communities into better places to live, work and raise their families. Leaders need not always be elected officials. They can be ordinary people from all walks of life.
