Civic Leadership
The Kansas Health Foundation is driven by a mission to improve the health of all Kansans. The Foundation joins with the World Health Organization in defining health, believing that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
To accomplish its mission, the Foundation focuses the majority of its grant making efforts in the following six areas:
Promoting the healthy behaviors of Kansans
Strengthening the public health system
Improving access to health care for Kansas children
Growing community philanthropy
Providing health data and information to policymakers
Building civic leadership
