As a philanthropy, we often work behind the scenes to make things possible. We bring people and organizations together to tackle complex health problems in strategic, innovative ways.

Goals
To best meet its mission to improve the health of all Kansans, the Foundation structures its grant making with a focus on reaching these six programmatic goals:

To ensure that:
  • Kansans have the appropriate leadership skills and capacities to champion health improvement efforts in their communities and organizations
  • Policymakers have high-quality, timely and objective information to make informed decisions regarding the health of Kansans
  • Kansas youth have the lowest rates of tobacco use in the nation
  • Kansas youth have the lowest rates of obesity in the nation
  • Kansas has an effective and efficient public health infrastructure
  • Kansas children have the health, education and economic opportunities they need to reach their fullest potential
In order to reach these goals, the Foundation provides grant funding within four major program areas: public health, policy, leadership and children's health.
