Our strategic approach helps us to effect change through public awareness campaigns, health education, social marketing, research and evaluation. We design our strategic grantmaking to target projects that are achievable, relevant and timely. Thoughtful decision-making and resource allocation combine with measurable goals. As a strategic grantmaker, we take a long-range view of how the health and lives of Kansans can be improved, seeking investments that will do the most good for the greatest number of people. Our strategic plan reflects comments from the people of Kansas and is formulated using epidemiological data, focus groups, community visits and expert analysis. We evaluate constantly to assess effectiveness and fine-tune tactics for optimal outcomes.
